The company started with travel trailers and new and used cars. However, in 1974 when H.U.D. got involved in the construction of what we know today as mobile homes, Uncle Roy changed his focus to what he saw as the most affordable, most needed and best valued product he had ever seen. At this point, Uncle Roy’s Mobile Homes became a landmark in Ocala and this new emerging industry and quickly became the largest single retail store in the country.

Uncle Roy’s mission was and remains to provide the best mobile home buying experience possible. This experience starts with your ability to tour the homes at our location, the overall buying experience, financing of your home, the delivery and set up and what became his trade mark “KING OF SERVICE”.

Thad Boyd Jr. expanded his interests into Mark III Vans which he grew into the largest van conversion company in the country. Thad Boyd fell in love with the Van business which quickly consumed more and more of his time which created a dilemma; What to do with Uncle Roy’s Mobile Homes?

After a couple failed attempts to pass it on to upper management, Thad Boyd Jr. called on his sister Mina and her husband Jeff Bloodworth to take over Uncle Roy’s Mobile Homes and Circle B Mobile Homes.

In November 1993 the Bloodworth’s decided to look for a buyer in order to retire. With the financial backing of Wayne Frier, Rick Bolling Sr. was able to purchase Uncle Roy’s Mobile Homes and Circle B Mobile Homes from Jeff and Mina Bloodworth.
